The National Consensus Guidelines on Identifying and Responding to Domestic Violence Victimization in Health Care Settings was developed to assist health care providers in addressing domestic violence victimization, assessment, intervention, referral and documentation. These consensus-developed guidelines were developed with over 35 experts in the field. They also cover assessment for lifetime exposure, as well as current abuse and make recommendations on how to prepare your health care practice to assess both women and men for victimization. Revised in 2004.
